Aspen

Inspired by Ansel Adams’ photograph, Aspens and Mountain, I wanted this piece to draw the viewer in and make it seem as though they are walking among the aspen grove. I love texture and I think this piece has amazing depth because of all the textures used in making the aspen trees. The newspaper clippings represent thoughts being tossed through our minds, riding on the lofty turbulent winds in the storm clouds.
